Worth the Ultimate upgrade for us
We finally know which jobs make money rather than guessing. That said, you need the Ultimate plan, which is a jump from Grow and reporting is limited to what Xero gives you.

Job costing done simply
Tracked time pulls straight onto the invoice so nothing goes unbilled, and it closed the gap on unbilled hours within the first quarter. No complaints so far.

Stopped us losing billable time
Time entry is simple enough that the team actually does it, and tracked time pulls straight onto the invoice so nothing goes unbilled. You need the Ultimate plan, which is a jump from Grow, but we live with it.

Real margins from real bills
Time entry is simple enough that the team actually does it, and costs come from real supplier bills, not numbers typed into a spreadsheet. No resource planning if you need to schedule the work as well, but we live with it.

Costs come from real supplier bills, not numbers typed into a spreadsheet. Only real gripe is that for utilisation analysis you will want a dedicated tool.
