Terms
Terms of use
The terms on which we make Assaylist available, what you can expect from us, and what we ask of you.
Effective 4 August 2026
Using the site
Assaylist is operated from London, United Kingdom. By using this site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
You may read, print and share our pages for your own business or personal use. You may not scrape the site, republish our review content as your own, or use automated tools to extract our data at scale.
Reviews and user content
When you submit a review you confirm that it reflects your own genuine, first-hand experience of the product, that you have not been paid or otherwise incentivised to write it, and that you are not connected to the vendor.
Every submission is moderated before it appears. We may decline to publish, edit for length and clarity, or remove a review that we believe is fake, incentivised, defamatory, unlawful, or not based on real use. We may also remove a review at the request of the person who wrote it.
You keep ownership of what you write, and you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish it on this site and to quote from it in related material.
Accuracy and no advice
We take care to get things right. Pricing is recorded from the vendor's own published UK list price on the date shown against each product, and compliance claims such as HMRC recognition are checked against the vendor's documentation and HMRC's published software list.
Even so, software changes constantly. Always confirm current pricing, terms and compliance status on the vendor's own site before you buy.
Nothing on this site is accounting, tax, legal or financial advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to enter into any particular contract. If your decision has tax or regulatory consequences, take advice from a qualified professional who knows your circumstances.
Affiliate links
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and go on to subscribe, we may be paid a commission by the vendor or their affiliate network, at no additional cost to you.
We disclose this above the first such link on every page that carries one, and every outbound commercial link is marked rel="sponsored". Commission arrangements do not influence ratings, rankings or verdicts. Full detail is in our affiliate disclosure.
Intellectual property
The Assaylist name, logo, page designs, editorial text and review analysis are ours and are protected by copyright and trade mark law.
Vendor names and logos belong to their respective owners. We reproduce them unmodified, from each vendor's official press kit, solely to identify the product being reviewed. That is nominative use; it does not imply endorsement, partnership or affiliation.
Limitation of liability
The site is provided on an “as is” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site or any product you find through it.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited. If you deal as a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Governing law
These terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction — save that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the nation in which you live.
