Auto enrolment finally stopped worrying me

A pay run for twelve people takes about ten minutes, and HMRC notices come straight into the pay run. No complaints so far.

Pros

A pay run for twelve people takes about ten minutes.

Cons

CIS subcontractors are not handled here, which confused us at first.

Pay run takes ten minutes now

Corrections to a previous period are more awkward than they should be, and the five employee inclusion means the real cost is higher than the headline. A pay run for twelve people takes about ten minutes, which is about the only positive.

Pros

A pay run for twelve people takes about ten minutes.

Cons

Corrections to a previous period are more awkward than they should be.

Anomaly checking earns its keep

Not enough depth if you run multiple pay frequencies, and reporting is basic if your accountant wants detail. Payslips self serve so nobody emails me asking for one, which is about the only positive.

Pros

Payslips self serve so nobody emails me asking for one.

Cons

Not enough depth if you run multiple pay frequencies.
