Fine until you need complexity

Copilot caught a net pay that had moved 40 percent before I committed, and a pay run for twelve people takes about ten minutes. Not enough depth if you run multiple pay frequencies, but we live with it.

Pros

Copilot caught a net pay that had moved 40 percent before I committed.

Cons

Not enough depth if you run multiple pay frequencies.

Simple payroll, does the job

Not enough depth if you run multiple pay frequencies, and corrections to a previous period are more awkward than they should be. Copilot caught a net pay that had moved 40 percent before I committed, which is about the only positive.

Pros

Copilot caught a net pay that had moved 40 percent before I committed.

Cons

Not enough depth if you run multiple pay frequencies.

No payroll training and I have never missed an RTI deadline, and Copilot caught a net pay that had moved 40 percent before I committed. No complaints so far.

Pros

No payroll training and I have never missed an RTI deadline.

Not enough depth if you run multiple pay frequencies.

Simple payroll, does the job

Auto enrolment assessment happens without me remembering to do it. Copilot caught a net pay that had moved 40 percent before I committed.

Pros

Auto enrolment assessment happens without me remembering to do it.

Cons

The five employee inclusion means the real cost is higher than the headline.

Fine until you need complexity

Copilot caught a net pay that had moved 40 percent before I committed. Payslips self serve so nobody emails me asking for one.

Pros

Copilot caught a net pay that had moved 40 percent before I committed.

Cons

Reporting is basic if your accountant wants detail.

Anomaly checking earns its keep

No payroll training and I have never missed an RTI deadline. HMRC notices come straight into the pay run.

Pros

No payroll training and I have never missed an RTI deadline.

Cons

CIS subcontractors are not handled here, which confused us at first.
