Simple payroll, does the job

HMRC notices come straight into the pay run. Only real gripe is that CIS subcontractors are not handled here, which confused us at first.

Pros

HMRC notices come straight into the pay run.

Cons

CIS subcontractors are not handled here, which confused us at first.

Pay run takes ten minutes now

A pay run for twelve people takes about ten minutes. That said, the five employee inclusion means the real cost is higher than the headline and reporting is basic if your accountant wants detail.

Pros

A pay run for twelve people takes about ten minutes.

Cons

The five employee inclusion means the real cost is higher than the headline.

Auto enrolment finally stopped worrying me

Copilot caught a net pay that had moved 40 percent before I committed, and payslips self serve so nobody emails me asking for one. No complaints so far.

Pros

Copilot caught a net pay that had moved 40 percent before I committed.

Cons

Not enough depth if you run multiple pay frequencies.

Copilot caught a net pay that had moved 40 percent before I committed, and auto enrolment assessment happens without me remembering to do it. CIS subcontractors are not handled here, which confused us at first, but we live with it.

Anomaly checking earns its keep

No payroll training and I have never missed an RTI deadline. Only real gripe is that CIS subcontractors are not handled here, which confused us at first.
