Auto enrolment finally stopped worrying me

Copilot caught a net pay that had moved 40 percent before I committed, and HMRC notices come straight into the pay run. No complaints so far.

Pros

Copilot caught a net pay that had moved 40 percent before I committed.

Cons

Not enough depth if you run multiple pay frequencies.

Pay run takes ten minutes now

A pay run for twelve people takes about ten minutes. Only real gripe is that corrections to a previous period are more awkward than they should be.

Pros

A pay run for twelve people takes about ten minutes.

Cons

Corrections to a previous period are more awkward than they should be.

Anomaly checking earns its keep

HMRC notices come straight into the pay run. Payslips self serve so nobody emails me asking for one.

Pros

HMRC notices come straight into the pay run.

Cons

The five employee inclusion means the real cost is higher than the headline.

Simple payroll, does the job

Auto enrolment assessment happens without me remembering to do it, and no payroll training and I have never missed an RTI deadline. CIS subcontractors are not handled here, which confused us at first, but we live with it.

Pros

Auto enrolment assessment happens without me remembering to do it.

Cons

CIS subcontractors are not handled here, which confused us at first.
