Pay run takes ten minutes now

HMRC notices come straight into the pay run, and payslips self serve so nobody emails me asking for one. Reporting is basic if your accountant wants detail, but we live with it.

Pros

HMRC notices come straight into the pay run.

Cons

Reporting is basic if your accountant wants detail.

Pay run takes ten minutes now

Reporting is basic if your accountant wants detail, and CIS subcontractors are not handled here, which confused us at first. No payroll training and I have never missed an RTI deadline, which is about the only positive.

Pros

No payroll training and I have never missed an RTI deadline.

Cons

Reporting is basic if your accountant wants detail.

Fine until you need complexity

Auto enrolment assessment happens without me remembering to do it, and no payroll training and I have never missed an RTI deadline. No complaints so far.

Pros

Auto enrolment assessment happens without me remembering to do it.

Cons

Not enough depth if you run multiple pay frequencies.

Good for a small team

Payslips self serve so nobody emails me asking for one, and Copilot caught a net pay that had moved 40 percent before I committed. The five employee inclusion means the real cost is higher than the headline, but we live with it.

Pros

Payslips self serve so nobody emails me asking for one.

Cons

The five employee inclusion means the real cost is higher than the headline.

Anomaly checking earns its keep

Mixed. A pay run for twelve people takes about ten minutes, but CIS subcontractors are not handled here, which confused us at first.

Simple payroll, does the job

Copilot caught a net pay that had moved 40 percent before I committed, and HMRC notices come straight into the pay run. Corrections to a previous period are more awkward than they should be, but we live with it.
