Good for a small team

HMRC notices come straight into the pay run. Auto enrolment assessment happens without me remembering to do it.

Pros

HMRC notices come straight into the pay run.

Cons

Reporting is basic if your accountant wants detail.

Anomaly checking earns its keep

Payslips self serve so nobody emails me asking for one, and no payroll training and I have never missed an RTI deadline. The five employee inclusion means the real cost is higher than the headline, but we live with it.

Pros

Payslips self serve so nobody emails me asking for one.

Cons

The five employee inclusion means the real cost is higher than the headline.

Fine until you need complexity

Reporting is basic if your accountant wants detail, and not enough depth if you run multiple pay frequencies. Auto enrolment assessment happens without me remembering to do it, which is about the only positive.

Pros

Auto enrolment assessment happens without me remembering to do it.

Cons

Reporting is basic if your accountant wants detail.

Anomaly checking earns its keep

Payslips self serve so nobody emails me asking for one, and Copilot caught a net pay that had moved 40 percent before I committed. No complaints so far.

Pros

Payslips self serve so nobody emails me asking for one.

Cons

Reporting is basic if your accountant wants detail.

Anomaly checking earns its keep

Copilot caught a net pay that had moved 40 percent before I committed. Only real gripe is that not enough depth if you run multiple pay frequencies.

Pros

Copilot caught a net pay that had moved 40 percent before I committed.

Cons

Not enough depth if you run multiple pay frequencies.

Anomaly checking earns its keep

CIS subcontractors are not handled here, which confused us at first, and not enough depth if you run multiple pay frequencies. A pay run for twelve people takes about ten minutes, which is about the only positive.

Pros

A pay run for twelve people takes about ten minutes.

Cons

CIS subcontractors are not handled here, which confused us at first.
