No journal to key anymore

Running payroll inside the same product means no journal to key by hand. That said, it is a paid add on, so compare the real total against Xero and Sage and corrections to a past period are more awkward than they should be.

Pros

Running payroll inside the same product means no journal to key by hand.

Cons

It is a paid add on, so compare the real total against Xero and Sage.

Add the cost before you compare

The pay run is forgiving for someone who is not a payroll specialist. That said, CIS sits in the accounting side, which confused us at first and not something a payroll bureau should be looking at.

Fine for a simple payroll

Auto enrolment assessment happens each period without me chasing it, and running payroll inside the same product means no journal to key by hand. Not something a payroll bureau should be looking at, but we live with it.

Pros

Auto enrolment assessment happens each period without me chasing it.

Cons

Not something a payroll bureau should be looking at.

Handy if you already use QuickBooks

One supplier for accounts and payroll keeps the audit trail simple. Only real gripe is that depth runs out fast if your payroll is anything but straightforward.

Payslips self serve so the team stopped emailing me for copies, and one supplier for accounts and payroll keeps the audit trail simple. No complaints so far.

Pros

Cons

It is a paid add on, so compare the real total against Xero and Sage.
