Handy if you already use QuickBooks

Mixed. Payslips self serve so the team stopped emailing me for copies, but CIS sits in the accounting side, which confused us at first.

Pros

Payslips self serve so the team stopped emailing me for copies.

Cons

CIS sits in the accounting side, which confused us at first.

No journal to key anymore

The pay run is forgiving for someone who is not a payroll specialist, and auto enrolment assessment happens each period without me chasing it. It is a paid add on, so compare the real total against Xero and Sage, but we live with it.

Pros

The pay run is forgiving for someone who is not a payroll specialist.

Cons

It is a paid add on, so compare the real total against Xero and Sage.

Auto enrolment just works

Mixed. The pay run is forgiving for someone who is not a payroll specialist, but not something a payroll bureau should be looking at.

No journal to key anymore

Running payroll inside the same product means no journal to key by hand, and one supplier for accounts and payroll keeps the audit trail simple. Corrections to a past period are more awkward than they should be, but we live with it.

Payslips self serve so the team stopped emailing me for copies, and the pay run is forgiving for someone who is not a payroll specialist. Depth runs out fast if your payroll is anything but straightforward, but we live with it.
