Add the cost before you compare

Auto enrolment assessment happens each period without me chasing it. Payslips self serve so the team stopped emailing me for copies.

Pros

Auto enrolment assessment happens each period without me chasing it.

Cons

It is a paid add on, so compare the real total against Xero and Sage.

Fine for a simple payroll

The pay run is forgiving for someone who is not a payroll specialist. Only real gripe is that CIS sits in the accounting side, which confused us at first.

Pros

The pay run is forgiving for someone who is not a payroll specialist.

Cons

CIS sits in the accounting side, which confused us at first.

Handy if you already use QuickBooks

Mixed. Payslips self serve so the team stopped emailing me for copies, but corrections to a past period are more awkward than they should be.

No journal to key anymore

Auto enrolment assessment happens each period without me chasing it, and running payroll inside the same product means no journal to key by hand. No complaints so far.

Cons

It is a paid add on, so compare the real total against Xero and Sage.
