The free tier is genuinely great

It is more platform than a small sales team needs, and marketing contacts pricing climbs as your database grows. The free tier got our whole sales team off spreadsheets at no cost, which is about the only positive.

Pros

The free tier got our whole sales team off spreadsheets at no cost.

Cons

It is more platform than a small sales team needs.

One platform for sales and marketing

HubSpot Academy meant we onboarded ourselves for free, and email tracking and sequences saved our reps real time. It is more platform than a small sales team needs, but we live with it.

Grew with us from free

The app marketplace connected to everything we already run. Having marketing and sales on one contact record ended two integrations.

Pros

The app marketplace connected to everything we already run.

Cons

The cost crept up exactly as we became dependent on it.

Adopted with zero training

The team adopted it without any training, which never happens, and HubSpot Academy meant we onboarded ourselves for free. No complaints so far.

Pros

The team adopted it without any training, which never happens.

Cons

The jump from free to paid is steep once you need automation.
