Fine up to a point

Moving past your tier headcount costs more than expected, and it is built for simple payrolls, multiple pay frequencies push its limits. Auto enrolment assessment runs each period without me remembering, which is about the only positive.

Pros

Auto enrolment assessment runs each period without me remembering.

Cons

Moving past your tier headcount costs more than expected.

Fine up to a point

Auto enrolment assessment runs each period without me remembering, and the pay run posts straight to the ledger so there is no journal to key. No complaints so far.

Pros

Auto enrolment assessment runs each period without me remembering.

Cons

The per person allowance is easy to misread when you are growing.

Posts to the ledger automatically

Employees update their own details and request holiday in the app. Only real gripe is that a bureau would find it too light.

Pros

Employees update their own details and request holiday in the app.

A bureau would find it too light.

Works because it is inside Xero

The pension provider connection to NEST just worked. Sharing one audit trail with the accounts made year end simpler.

Pros

The pension provider connection to NEST just worked.

Cons

CIS lives in the main Xero product rather than here.
