Auto enrolment sorted

The pay run posts straight to the ledger so there is no journal to key, and the pension provider connection to NEST just worked. A bureau would find it too light, but we live with it.

Pros

The pay run posts straight to the ledger so there is no journal to key.

Cons

A bureau would find it too light.

The pension provider connection to NEST just worked, and auto enrolment assessment runs each period without me remembering. No complaints so far.

Pros

The pension provider connection to NEST just worked.

Cons

Moving past your tier headcount costs more than expected.

CIS lives in the main Xero product rather than here. It is built for simple payrolls, multiple pay frequencies push its limits. Looking at alternatives.

Pros

Auto enrolment assessment runs each period without me remembering.

Cons

CIS lives in the main Xero product rather than here.

A bureau would find it too light, and the per person allowance is easy to misread when you are growing. The pay run posts straight to the ledger so there is no journal to key, which is about the only positive.

Pros

The pay run posts straight to the ledger so there is no journal to key.

Cons

A bureau would find it too light.

Great if your payroll is simple

Auto enrolment assessment runs each period without me remembering. That said, a bureau would find it too light and it is built for simple payrolls, multiple pay frequencies push its limits.

Pros

Auto enrolment assessment runs each period without me remembering.

Cons

A bureau would find it too light.

Fine up to a point

The per person allowance is easy to misread when you are growing, and CIS lives in the main Xero product rather than here. Sharing one audit trail with the accounts made year end simpler, which is about the only positive.

Pros

Sharing one audit trail with the accounts made year end simpler.

Cons

The per person allowance is easy to misread when you are growing.

Employees update their own details and request holiday in the app. Only real gripe is that a bureau would find it too light.
