Fine for our size

The cash flow forecast is genuinely useful for planning payment runs. Only real gripe is that some of the AI features feel half finished.

Pros

The cash flow forecast is genuinely useful for planning payment runs.

Cons

Some of the AI features feel half finished.

Reliable, if not exciting

Bank reconciliation is quick once the rules learn your suppliers. Only real gripe is that the Start tier is too limited, you end up on Standard almost immediately.

Pros

Bank reconciliation is quick once the rules learn your suppliers.

Cons

The Start tier is too limited, you end up on Standard almost immediately.

Good value once you are on Standard

Having payroll included saved us a second subscription entirely, and support answered the phone in under five minutes at year end. No complaints so far.

Pros

Having payroll included saved us a second subscription entirely.

Cons

Adding employees to payroll pushes the monthly cost up faster than expected.

Does what a small business needs

Mixed. CIS deductions calculate correctly, which the last package got wrong twice, but adding employees to payroll pushes the monthly cost up faster than expected.

Pros

Fine for our size

Moving from spreadsheets took a weekend and the import worked, and invoice chasing runs itself and our debtor days dropped noticeably. Receipt capture is metered and 30 a month goes quickly in a busy period, but we live with it.

Pros

Moving from spreadsheets took a weekend and the import worked.

Cons

Receipt capture is metered and 30 a month goes quickly in a busy period.

Works, with caveats on the entry tier

Reporting is fine until you want something custom, then it is export to Excel, and the interface changed twice in a year and retraining staff is a cost. VAT returns submit cleanly and the MTD side has never given us trouble, which is about the only positive.

Pros

VAT returns submit cleanly and the MTD side has never given us trouble.
