Does what a small business needs

Adding employees to payroll pushes the monthly cost up faster than expected, and some of the AI features feel half finished. Bank reconciliation is quick once the rules learn your suppliers, which is about the only positive.

Pros

Bank reconciliation is quick once the rules learn your suppliers.

Cons

Adding employees to payroll pushes the monthly cost up faster than expected.

Good value once you are on Standard

Bank reconciliation is quick once the rules learn your suppliers. That said, some of the AI features feel half finished and the Start tier is too limited, you end up on Standard almost immediately.

Pros

Bank reconciliation is quick once the rules learn your suppliers.

Cons

Some of the AI features feel half finished.

Solid for VAT and CIS

Having payroll included saved us a second subscription entirely, and CIS deductions calculate correctly, which the last package got wrong twice. The interface changed twice in a year and retraining staff is a cost, but we live with it.

Pros

Having payroll included saved us a second subscription entirely.

Cons

The interface changed twice in a year and retraining staff is a cost.

Works, with caveats on the entry tier

Copilot flagged a duplicate supplier invoice before we paid it, and bank reconciliation is quick once the rules learn your suppliers. No complaints so far.

Pros

Copilot flagged a duplicate supplier invoice before we paid it.

Cons

Some of the AI features feel half finished.

Better than the last one we used

Bank reconciliation is quick once the rules learn your suppliers, and VAT returns submit cleanly and the MTD side has never given us trouble. The Start tier is too limited, you end up on Standard almost immediately, but we live with it.
