Payslips self serve so the team stopped emailing me for copies, and one supplier for accounts and payroll keeps the audit trail simple. Not something a payroll bureau should be looking at, but we live with it.

Pros

Payslips self serve so the team stopped emailing me for copies.

Cons

Not something a payroll bureau should be looking at.

Fine for a simple payroll

Auto enrolment assessment happens each period without me chasing it, and the pay run is forgiving for someone who is not a payroll specialist. No complaints so far.

Pros

Auto enrolment assessment happens each period without me chasing it.

Cons

Depth runs out fast if your payroll is anything but straightforward.

Does the basics well

One supplier for accounts and payroll keeps the audit trail simple, and payslips self serve so the team stopped emailing me for copies. Corrections to a past period are more awkward than they should be, but we live with it.

Fine for a simple payroll

Auto enrolment assessment happens each period without me chasing it. That said, it is a paid add on, so compare the real total against Xero and Sage and corrections to a past period are more awkward than they should be.

Auto enrolment assessment happens each period without me chasing it.

Cons

It is a paid add on, so compare the real total against Xero and Sage.

One supplier for accounts and payroll keeps the audit trail simple. Only real gripe is that CIS sits in the accounting side, which confused us at first.
