No journal to key anymore

Depth runs out fast if your payroll is anything but straightforward, and not something a payroll bureau should be looking at. Running payroll inside the same product means no journal to key by hand, which is about the only positive.

Pros

Running payroll inside the same product means no journal to key by hand.

Cons

Depth runs out fast if your payroll is anything but straightforward.

Handy if you already use QuickBooks

Payslips self serve so the team stopped emailing me for copies. The pay run is forgiving for someone who is not a payroll specialist.

Pros

Payslips self serve so the team stopped emailing me for copies.

Cons

CIS sits in the accounting side, which confused us at first.

Auto enrolment just works

Auto enrolment assessment happens each period without me chasing it. Only real gripe is that depth runs out fast if your payroll is anything but straightforward.

Add the cost before you compare

Payslips self serve so the team stopped emailing me for copies. Auto enrolment assessment happens each period without me chasing it.

Pros

Payslips self serve so the team stopped emailing me for copies.

Cons

It is a paid add on, so compare the real total against Xero and Sage.

Fine for a simple payroll

The pay run is forgiving for someone who is not a payroll specialist. That said, CIS sits in the accounting side, which confused us at first and it is a paid add on, so compare the real total against Xero and Sage.
