Finance and operations in one

Working from Outlook and Excel with a live link to the data is seamless. Native UK VAT and MTD meant no partner development for compliance.

Pros

Working from Outlook and Excel with a live link to the data is seamless.

Cons

The interface carries some of its NAV heritage.

Seamless with Microsoft 365

Power BI on top gives our finance team real analytical depth, and for a Microsoft shop it feels like part of the estate. No complaints so far.

Pros

Power BI on top gives our finance team real analytical depth.

Cons

Heavier than a small business that just needs accounting.

Native MTD was the decider

Power BI on top gives our finance team real analytical depth. That said, heavier than a small business that just needs accounting and the wrong partner is the main way it goes badly.

Power BI depth is a bonus

Working from Outlook and Excel with a live link to the data is seamless. That said, it is a full ERP, so implementation was a proper project and heavier than a small business that just needs accounting.
