Fast month end, every time

Bank reconciliation is the fastest I have used, a month clears in minutes, and CIS calculations for subcontractors are handled properly. Reporting is clean but less customisable than I expected, but we live with it.

Pros

Bank reconciliation is the fastest I have used, a month clears in minutes.

Cons

Reporting is clean but less customisable than I expected.

Start on Grow, not Ignite

Payroll is included from the Grow plan so we dropped a second subscription, and CIS calculations for subcontractors are handled properly. The fixed asset register is functional rather than good, but we live with it.

Pros

Payroll is included from the Grow plan so we dropped a second subscription.

Cons

The fixed asset register is functional rather than good.

Fast month end, every time

Our accountant knows it inside out so support is never a problem, and bank reconciliation is the fastest I have used, a month clears in minutes. No complaints so far.

Pros

Our accountant knows it inside out so support is never a problem.

Cons

Inventory is basic, we run a separate app for real stock control.

Solid, with a weak entry tier

Bank reconciliation is the fastest I have used, a month clears in minutes. The app marketplace connected our stock system in an afternoon.

Pros

Bank reconciliation is the fastest I have used, a month clears in minutes.

Cons

Reporting is clean but less customisable than I expected.

Reconciliation is unmatched

Mixed. Unlimited users means the whole team can be in the books without a fee, but most businesses need to start on Grow, not the headline entry plan.

The nicest accounting software to use

The introductory discount ends and the standard price is a jump. Inventory is basic, we run a separate app for real stock control. Looking at alternatives.

Pros

Payroll is included from the Grow plan so we dropped a second subscription.

Cons

The introductory discount ends and the standard price is a jump.

Unlimited users is a real saving

Unlimited users means the whole team can be in the books without a fee. MTD VAT submissions have never once given us trouble.

Pros

Unlimited users means the whole team can be in the books without a fee.

Cons

The Ignite tier is far too tight, twenty invoices a month is nothing.
