Cheap and it files

Categorising expenses on the phone while sat in the van works well, and the free tier covered everything I needed until I registered for VAT. You outgrow it the moment you register for VAT, but we live with it.

Quarterly updates take about ten minutes once the bank feed is set up, and HMRC submission went through first time with no error messages. No complaints so far.

The tax estimate updates as you go so January is not a shock, and my accountant can see the figures without me emailing spreadsheets. Importing two years of history from a spreadsheet was fiddly, but we live with it.

Works for a one person business

It does not try to be a full ledger, which is exactly why I can use it. Only real gripe is that there is no balance sheet, so my accountant still does a year end job.
