Works, with caveats on the entry tier

Copilot flagged a duplicate supplier invoice before we paid it, and moving from spreadsheets took a weekend and the import worked. No complaints so far.

Pros

Copilot flagged a duplicate supplier invoice before we paid it.

Cons

Adding employees to payroll pushes the monthly cost up faster than expected.

Does what a small business needs

VAT returns submit cleanly and the MTD side has never given us trouble. Having payroll included saved us a second subscription entirely.

Pros

VAT returns submit cleanly and the MTD side has never given us trouble.

Cons

Some of the AI features feel half finished.

Fine for our size

CIS deductions calculate correctly, which the last package got wrong twice, and invoice chasing runs itself and our debtor days dropped noticeably. The interface changed twice in a year and retraining staff is a cost, but we live with it.

Pros

CIS deductions calculate correctly, which the last package got wrong twice.

Cons

The interface changed twice in a year and retraining staff is a cost.

Solid for VAT and CIS

Bank reconciliation is quick once the rules learn your suppliers. That said, the interface changed twice in a year and retraining staff is a cost and adding employees to payroll pushes the monthly cost up faster than expected.

Cons

Better than the last one we used

The cash flow forecast is genuinely useful for planning payment runs, and having payroll included saved us a second subscription entirely. No complaints so far.

Reliable, if not exciting

VAT returns submit cleanly and the MTD side has never given us trouble, and CIS deductions calculate correctly, which the last package got wrong twice. No complaints so far.

Pros

VAT returns submit cleanly and the MTD side has never given us trouble.

Cons

The Start tier is too limited, you end up on Standard almost immediately.

Reliable, if not exciting

Invoice chasing runs itself and our debtor days dropped noticeably. That said, receipt capture is metered and 30 a month goes quickly in a busy period and the Start tier is too limited, you end up on Standard almost immediately.

Cons

Receipt capture is metered and 30 a month goes quickly in a busy period.
