Does the job, feels its age

Multi company reporting means I am not consolidating in a spreadsheet, and the fixed asset register saves the schedule we used to keep separately. No complaints so far.

Pros

Multi company reporting means I am not consolidating in a spreadsheet.

Cons

It is desktop software with cloud bolted on and remote working shows it.

Worth it for project costing

CIS costs extra on top of an already high subscription, and backups are your problem in a way they are not with cloud products. Foreign currency handling is properly built in on Professional, which is about the only positive.

Pros

Foreign currency handling is properly built in on Professional.

Cons

CIS costs extra on top of an already high subscription.

Still the best for inventory

Foreign currency handling is properly built in on Professional. Our accountant has used it for twenty years so support is easy.

Pros

Foreign currency handling is properly built in on Professional.

Cons

Powerful but you pay for it

Project costing gives us real margin per job rather than a guess. Multi company reporting means I am not consolidating in a spreadsheet.

Pros

Project costing gives us real margin per job rather than a guess.

Cons

The interface is dated compared with anything browser based.

Stock control is the reason we stay, nothing cloud based matches it. That said, upgrades occasionally break a custom report and backups are your problem in a way they are not with cloud products.

Mixed. Foreign currency handling is properly built in on Professional, but the price is hard to justify unless you actually use the depth.
