Expensive, and we still renew

Our accountant has used it for twenty years so support is easy. Foreign currency handling is properly built in on Professional.

Pros

Our accountant has used it for twenty years so support is easy.

Cons

The price is hard to justify unless you actually use the depth.

Does the job, feels its age

Multi company reporting means I am not consolidating in a spreadsheet. That said, upgrades occasionally break a custom report and the interface is dated compared with anything browser based.

Pros

Multi company reporting means I am not consolidating in a spreadsheet.

Cons

Upgrades occasionally break a custom report.

Stock control keeps us here

Stock control is the reason we stay, nothing cloud based matches it. That said, upgrades occasionally break a custom report and backups are your problem in a way they are not with cloud products.

Pros

Stock control is the reason we stay, nothing cloud based matches it.

Cons

Upgrades occasionally break a custom report.

Overkill unless you need the modules

Multi company reporting means I am not consolidating in a spreadsheet, and the fixed asset register saves the schedule we used to keep separately. No complaints so far.

Pros

Multi company reporting means I am not consolidating in a spreadsheet.

Cons

Upgrades occasionally break a custom report.

Expensive, and we still renew

Our accountant has used it for twenty years so support is easy. That said, the price is hard to justify unless you actually use the depth and it is desktop software with cloud bolted on and remote working shows it.

Pros

Our accountant has used it for twenty years so support is easy.

Cons

The price is hard to justify unless you actually use the depth.

Does the job, feels its age

The fixed asset register saves the schedule we used to keep separately, and foreign currency handling is properly built in on Professional. Extra users cost more and it adds up fast, but we live with it.

The fixed asset register saves the schedule we used to keep separately.
