Powerful but you pay for it

Foreign currency handling is properly built in on Professional. Only real gripe is that it is desktop software with cloud bolted on and remote working shows it.

Pros

Foreign currency handling is properly built in on Professional.

Cons

It is desktop software with cloud bolted on and remote working shows it.

Overkill unless you need the modules

Project costing gives us real margin per job rather than a guess. Only real gripe is that upgrades occasionally break a custom report.

Pros

Project costing gives us real margin per job rather than a guess.

Cons

Upgrades occasionally break a custom report.

Does the job, feels its age

The document capture pre fills purchase invoices and saves hours a week, and our accountant has used it for twenty years so support is easy. No complaints so far.

Pros

The document capture pre fills purchase invoices and saves hours a week.

Cons

CIS costs extra on top of an already high subscription.

Powerful but you pay for it

Stock control is the reason we stay, nothing cloud based matches it, and the fixed asset register saves the schedule we used to keep separately. CIS costs extra on top of an already high subscription, but we live with it.

Pros

Stock control is the reason we stay, nothing cloud based matches it.

Cons

CIS costs extra on top of an already high subscription.

Still the best for inventory

Project costing gives us real margin per job rather than a guess. Only real gripe is that backups are your problem in a way they are not with cloud products.

Multi company reporting means I am not consolidating in a spreadsheet. Only real gripe is that extra users cost more and it adds up fast.

Worth it for project costing

Multi company reporting means I am not consolidating in a spreadsheet, and the fixed asset register saves the schedule we used to keep separately. The interface is dated compared with anything browser based, but we live with it.
