Stock control keeps us here

Stock control is the reason we stay, nothing cloud based matches it, and the document capture pre fills purchase invoices and saves hours a week. Extra users cost more and it adds up fast, but we live with it.

Pros

Stock control is the reason we stay, nothing cloud based matches it.

Cons

Extra users cost more and it adds up fast.

Expensive, and we still renew

The document capture pre fills purchase invoices and saves hours a week. That said, the price is hard to justify unless you actually use the depth and backups are your problem in a way they are not with cloud products.

Pros

The document capture pre fills purchase invoices and saves hours a week.

Cons

The price is hard to justify unless you actually use the depth.

Worth it for project costing

Backups are your problem in a way they are not with cloud products. Upgrades occasionally break a custom report. Looking at alternatives.

Pros

Project costing gives us real margin per job rather than a guess.

Cons

Backups are your problem in a way they are not with cloud products.

Powerful but you pay for it

Our accountant has used it for twenty years so support is easy, and stock control is the reason we stay, nothing cloud based matches it. CIS costs extra on top of an already high subscription, but we live with it.

Does the job, feels its age

The fixed asset register saves the schedule we used to keep separately, and stock control is the reason we stay, nothing cloud based matches it. No complaints so far.

Pros

The fixed asset register saves the schedule we used to keep separately.

Cons

The price is hard to justify unless you actually use the depth.

Worth it for project costing

Our accountant has used it for twenty years so support is easy. Multi company reporting means I am not consolidating in a spreadsheet.

Mixed. Foreign currency handling is properly built in on Professional, but backups are your problem in a way they are not with cloud products.
