Perfect for a driving heavy trade

No free tier, so Sage looks cheaper if you barely drive for work, and you outgrow it the second you register for VAT or incorporate. Everything is on the phone, which suits how I actually work, which is about the only positive.

Pros

Everything is on the phone, which suits how I actually work.

Cons

No free tier, so Sage looks cheaper if you barely drive for work.

Simple, and it files

Mixed. Receipts scan straight in and the categories are usually right, but no free tier, so Sage looks cheaper if you barely drive for work.

Mileage tracking alone is worth it

No free tier, so Sage looks cheaper if you barely drive for work, and the AI features are labelled beta and feel like it. Receipts scan straight in and the categories are usually right, which is about the only positive.

Receipts scan straight in and the categories are usually right.

Cons

No free tier, so Sage looks cheaper if you barely drive for work.

Good for the self employed

You outgrow it the second you register for VAT or incorporate. There is no balance sheet, my accountant still does the year end. Looking at alternatives.

Pros

The Self Assessment view maps to the boxes so January is calm now.

Cons

You outgrow it the second you register for VAT or incorporate.
