Sorted my Self Assessment

It detects trips and I just swipe to say business or personal, and the Self Assessment view maps to the boxes so January is calm now. No complaints so far.

Pros

It detects trips and I just swipe to say business or personal.

Cons

There is no balance sheet, my accountant still does the year end.

Good for the self employed

The automatic mileage tracking has paid for the subscription many times over. It detects trips and I just swipe to say business or personal.

Pros

The automatic mileage tracking has paid for the subscription many times over.

Cons

Reporting is thin beyond income and expenses.

Simple, and it files

You outgrow it the second you register for VAT or incorporate, and no free tier, so Sage looks cheaper if you barely drive for work. It detects trips and I just swipe to say business or personal, which is about the only positive.

Pros

It detects trips and I just swipe to say business or personal.

Cons

You outgrow it the second you register for VAT or incorporate.

Perfect for a driving heavy trade

Quarterly updates went to HMRC with no fuss at all, and it detects trips and I just swipe to say business or personal. No free tier, so Sage looks cheaper if you barely drive for work, but we live with it.

Pros

Quarterly updates went to HMRC with no fuss at all.

Cons

No free tier, so Sage looks cheaper if you barely drive for work.

Does the MTD job on my phone

Mileage tracking alone is worth it

Quarterly updates went to HMRC with no fuss at all. That said, you outgrow it the second you register for VAT or incorporate and reporting is thin beyond income and expenses.

Pros

Quarterly updates went to HMRC with no fuss at all.

Cons

You outgrow it the second you register for VAT or incorporate.
