Quarterly updates take about ten minutes once the bank feed is set up, and setup took an evening and I have never used accounting software before. No complaints so far.

Cheap and it files
The tax estimate updates as you go so January is not a shock. Only real gripe is that no payroll at all, which caught me out when I took someone on.

Works for a one person business
The free tier covered everything I needed until I registered for VAT. Quarterly updates take about ten minutes once the bank feed is set up.
Pros
The free tier covered everything I needed until I registered for VAT.
Cons
There is no balance sheet, so my accountant still does a year end job.

Simple enough for a first timer
The tax estimate updates as you go so January is not a shock, and HMRC submission went through first time with no error messages. There is no balance sheet, so my accountant still does a year end job, but we live with it.

HMRC submission went through first time with no error messages, and it does not try to be a full ledger, which is exactly why I can use it. You outgrow it the moment you register for VAT, but we live with it.
