Consolidation went from days to minutes

Getting the dimension structure wrong at the start is expensive to undo, and not the right tool if your complexity is in the warehouse. Project accounting gives us revenue recognition we can actually audit, which is about the only positive.

Pros

Project accounting gives us revenue recognition we can actually audit.

Cons

Getting the dimension structure wrong at the start is expensive to undo.

Right call for a multi entity group

The close has come down from twelve days to five. Only real gripe is that there is no published price, which makes budgeting a negotiation.

Dimensions were the whole reason we moved

Project accounting gives us revenue recognition we can actually audit, and intercompany transactions post correctly without manual journals. You need a good partner and they are not all good, but we live with it.

Pros

Project accounting gives us revenue recognition we can actually audit.

Cons

You need a good partner and they are not all good.

Good software, partner dependent

Dimensions replaced a four segment nominal code structure we hated. That said, you need a good partner and they are not all good and not the right tool if your complexity is in the warehouse.
