Still the best for inventory

Backups are your problem in a way they are not with cloud products, and extra users cost more and it adds up fast. Stock control is the reason we stay, nothing cloud based matches it, which is about the only positive.

Pros

Stock control is the reason we stay, nothing cloud based matches it.

Cons

Backups are your problem in a way they are not with cloud products.

Worth it for project costing

The document capture pre fills purchase invoices and saves hours a week, and multi company reporting means I am not consolidating in a spreadsheet. The price is hard to justify unless you actually use the depth, but we live with it.

Pros

The document capture pre fills purchase invoices and saves hours a week.

Cons

The price is hard to justify unless you actually use the depth.

Stock control keeps us here

Foreign currency handling is properly built in on Professional. Our accountant has used it for twenty years so support is easy.

Pros

Foreign currency handling is properly built in on Professional.

Cons

It is desktop software with cloud bolted on and remote working shows it.

Does the job, feels its age

The fixed asset register saves the schedule we used to keep separately. Only real gripe is that extra users cost more and it adds up fast.

Overkill unless you need the modules

Our accountant has used it for twenty years so support is easy. Project costing gives us real margin per job rather than a guess.

Expensive, and we still renew

The fixed asset register saves the schedule we used to keep separately. That said, CIS costs extra on top of an already high subscription and the price is hard to justify unless you actually use the depth.

Pros

The fixed asset register saves the schedule we used to keep separately.

Cons

CIS costs extra on top of an already high subscription.
