Powerful but you pay for it

Multi company reporting means I am not consolidating in a spreadsheet. That said, CIS costs extra on top of an already high subscription and the interface is dated compared with anything browser based.

Pros

Multi company reporting means I am not consolidating in a spreadsheet.

Cons

CIS costs extra on top of an already high subscription.

Overkill unless you need the modules

Stock control is the reason we stay, nothing cloud based matches it. That said, backups are your problem in a way they are not with cloud products and upgrades occasionally break a custom report.

Pros

Stock control is the reason we stay, nothing cloud based matches it.

Cons

Backups are your problem in a way they are not with cloud products.

Powerful but you pay for it

Project costing gives us real margin per job rather than a guess. Our accountant has used it for twenty years so support is easy.

Pros

Project costing gives us real margin per job rather than a guess.

Cons

The price is hard to justify unless you actually use the depth.

Overkill unless you need the modules

The document capture pre fills purchase invoices and saves hours a week, and our accountant has used it for twenty years so support is easy. No complaints so far.

Pros

The document capture pre fills purchase invoices and saves hours a week.

Cons

It is desktop software with cloud bolted on and remote working shows it.

Stock control keeps us here

The fixed asset register saves the schedule we used to keep separately. Stock control is the reason we stay, nothing cloud based matches it.

Pros

The fixed asset register saves the schedule we used to keep separately.

Cons

Extra users cost more and it adds up fast.

Does the job, feels its age

The document capture pre fills purchase invoices and saves hours a week, and stock control is the reason we stay, nothing cloud based matches it. CIS costs extra on top of an already high subscription, but we live with it.

Pros

The document capture pre fills purchase invoices and saves hours a week.
