A mid market UK HR platform, priced per employee with tiers up to advanced analytics
Access PeopleHR sits a rung above the simplest small business tools. Now part of the Access Group, one of the larger UK business software companies, it targets the small and mid sized business that has outgrown a spreadsheet replacement and wants a proper HR system with room to grow. The per employee pricing and tiered structure reflect that positioning.
The tier ladder is genuinely graduated. Starter at three pounds per employee per month covers the basics, and the Core, Pro and Elite tiers add performance management, applicant tracking, deeper reporting and analytics as you climb. A business can start modestly and add capability without changing systems, which is exactly what a growing company wants.
Applicant tracking and performance are stronger than the small business tools, so recruitment and reviews live in the same place as records and leave rather than in separate apps. For a mid sized business that consolidation saves real friction.
Being part of the Access Group means integration with a wider ecosystem of finance, payroll and recruitment products, which matters if you are standardising on one vendor.
Per employee pricing scales with headcount, so a larger business pays materially more than a flat per company rival at the same size. Model the cost at your actual headcount against Breathe and CharlieHR before assuming the tier price is the whole story.
The breadth that helps a growing company can feel like more than a very small business needs, and the simplest tools are quicker to set up for a team of ten.
As with most HR platforms here, payroll is a separate consideration, though the Access ecosystem offers it.
Access PeopleHR is a UK product handling UK statutory leave, employment record keeping and the compliance needs of a British business, with UK based support and data handling. Pricing is per employee per month across the four tiers, so your cost is a direct function of headcount and the capability level you choose.
Small and mid sized UK businesses that have outgrown the simplest HR tools and want performance, recruitment and analytics in one system with room to scale. Very small teams focused purely on leave and records will find Breathe or CharlieHR simpler and often cheaper.
